POCO X5 Pro Review: A Worthy Contender Against Redmi Note 10 Pro?

Xiaomi’s POCO brand has launched the X5 Pro, the latest addition to its X-series lineup. This budget-friendly smartphone offers a range of impressive features, including a large display, a powerful battery, and a quad-camera setup. In this review, we’ll take a closer look at the POCO X5 Pro to see how it compares to the popular Redmi Note 10 Pro.

Design and Display: The POCO X5 Pro features a 6.67-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The display has a 120Hz refresh rate, making it smoother than the Redmi Note 10 Pro’s 60Hz display. The phone has a sleek design with a metal frame and a glass back that feels premium in the hand.

Performance: The POCO X5 Pro is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 chipset, which is a step up from the Redmi Note 10 Pro’s Snapdragon 732G. It also comes with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 1TB using a microSD card.

Camera: The POCO X5 Pro’s quad-camera setup includes a 48-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, there is a 16-megapixel selfie camera. The Redmi Note 10 Pro has a similar quad-camera setup but with a 64-megapixel primary camera.

Battery: The POCO X5 Pro packs a massive 5,160mAh battery that can last for up to two days on a single charge. It also supports 33W fast charging, which can fully charge the phone in just 59 minutes.

Software: The POCO X5 Pro runs on MIUI 12 based on Android 11, which is the same as the Redmi Note 10 Pro. It also comes with POCO Launcher 2.0, which offers a more personalized user experience.

Price: The POCO X5 Pro is priced at around Rs. 29,999 (approximately $400 USD) for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, which is slightly more expensive than the Redmi Note 10 Pro.

Verdict: Overall, the POCO X5 Pro offers several upgrades over the Redmi Note 10 Pro, including a faster chipset, a smoother display, and faster charging. It also has a similar quad-camera setup and a larger battery. However, it is slightly more expensive than the Redmi Note 10 Pro. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly smartphone with great features, the POCO X5 Pro is definitely worth considering.
